This is a very short report from the Belize mission trip. I'm sorry this is in English but I cannot write in Korean from the internet cafe in Belize.
We arrived safe and sound to Belize on Sunday at 2:10pm. We are an hour behind St. Louis. We took a 2:30 minute bus ride from the airport in Belize City and arrived in the city of San Ignacio. The city that we'll be serving for 5 days. We had a very warm welcoming from the Experience Missions leaders: Yonathan & Allinson as well as two of the local pastors, pastor Nelson and pastor Alfonzo.
The weather was very humid but cooler than usual so it was good. We got some orientation, good dinner with handmade tortillas, refried beans & eggs and went to bed early to prepare for the long day on Monday.
We got up at 6am this morning (monday), had breakfast, devotion and left to the work site at 7:30am. All of us worked very hard in construction helping to finish building this church from 7:30 to 12pm. The team a great job and work very hard. We were able to get a lot done. It was fun to use unique handmade tools to get things ready for construction. We learned a lot about building a church today. No one complained ^ ^
This church has been under construction for 3 years(if you see the picture below you'll see that the new construction is going on on the outside of the old church ^ ^ ) because of the lack of materials and resources, but we were able to get done a lot today and it seems like they'll be able to finish building the church soon.
We're also the first Experience Mission team to be in Belize, so it's an honor and a privilege to be here ^ ^.
Kids club is going very well and we're getting to know many of the kids. So, far everything is going very well. We're working very hard, having a good time and also serving one another. Than you very much for all your prayers and support.
I won't be able to post updates everyday, but I'll do my best. Please, continue to pray for health & strength since we're working a lot ^ ^. Everyone is healthy and doing well so far.
